USEFUL PUBLICATIONS

In June 2017 we published our Hague and Gunflint Lake Monitoring report and Love the Lakes Stewardship Plan 2017 to keep you informed of our findings to date and plans for the future.

Hague and Gunflint Monitoring Report 2017

This comprehensive report, commissioned by Friends of Cortes Island, and written by Rex Weyler, analyses and reviews the research and monitoring that has taken place on the lakes since 2014 together with historical data too. It also puts forward detailed recommendations to help protect the lakes, reduce the blooms, and keep the lakes healthy for both people and wildlife.

Love the Lakes Stewardship Plan 2017

Our Love the Lakes Stewardship Plan is based on the findings from the Hague and Gunflint Monitoring Report 2017. It sets out our stewardship program for the lakes over the next three years, which includes ongoing monitoring and research, community education and proposed biological remediation.
